Herb of the Week | Boneset

Herb of the Week | Boneset

Traditionally used by Native American indigenous tribes such as the Menominees, Alabamas, Iroquois and Mohegans as a natural medicine to reduce fevers; induce sweat; cure colds, flu, cough, respiratory irritation, arthritis, indigestion, constipation and loss of appetite.

During the severe flu pandemic of 1918-19 it was one of the safest and most successful remedies.

Other traditional uses include: recalcification of teeth, ease bone pain and repair crushed and broken bones!

🗝 As a practical magical tool,  the herb can be brewed and used in ritual baths. Some people use it in more elaborate rituals, muddling the leaves in water, praying, making offerings of rum, honey, and cigar smoke, and letting the leaves sit overnight to infuse the water before using it in a spiritual bath.

🗝It can be added to a sachet and placed above your front door to ward off unwanted energies.

🗝 Boneset can be added to any uncrossing spiritual workings

🗝 Sprinkle boneset on the floor and sweep out of your front door (starting from the back of your home)

🗝 Our Bonoset herb is organic and can be consumed as a tea. It is also important to note that Boneset is powerful, if you use too much, you may quickly feel mild nausea.
