Magical Folk Uses: Used in spells for protection; protects from accidents and illnesses and for cleansing from jinxes which cause accidents.
Medicinal Folk Uses: Traditionally known for it's anti-aging properties; used to prevent conditions related to aging, including cancer, heart disease, and memory problems. Additionally, Fo-ti enhances the use of estrogen, human growth hormone, testosterone and cortisol increases vitality, muscle size and power. It is also known to increase sexual vigour, improve erectile disfunction and improve the quality and quantity of sperm count.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). According to Chinese tradition, dried Fo-ti Root should be prepared by boiling it in the same water used to cook black beans; its primary purpose is to restore balance to the body's systems when the Yin (feminine energy) is weak.
To Prepare as a Tea: Add 30g to a half gallon of boiling water. Turn heat on low and let simmer for one 1-2 hours. The longer the better. Strain and enjoy! Store the rest in the refrigerator
