Magical Folk Uses: Uncrossing herb, used for purification and exorcism, banishes unruly spirts purifies space; protection when communicating with spirits. Additionally, this herb is used for money drawing and better business rituals by hoodoo practitioners.
Medicinal Folk Uses: Fumitory is used to treat intestinal spasms and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS); and to start the flow of bile, a fluid that is important for the digestion of fats and is produced by the liver. Fumitory is also used for skin conditions, eye irritation (conjunctivitis), heart problems, fluid retention, and constipation.
To Prepare as a Tea: Steep 2–3 teaspoons (10–15 grams) of the herb in 1 cup (250 ml) of hot water for ten to fifteen minutes. People can drink three or more cups per day.
