Organic Greater Galangal Root
Botanical Name: Alpinia galanga
Common Names: Galanga, Gargaut, Colic Root, Greater Galangal, Lengkuas, Blue Ginger.
Folk Name: “Little John to Chew” Chewing John', "Court Case Root"
Greater galangal has a milder flavour and is commonly found in Indonesia and Malaysia. Lesser galangal is native to southern China and has a more peppery bite and tartness in flavour.
