Women's Health: Used to support women’s reproductive health, particularly for stimulating menstruation in cases of delayed or scanty flow. Postpartum, it was sometimes employed to encourage the release of the placenta and to promote healthy lactation. However, due to its potential to stimulate the uterus, vervain should be avoided during pregnancy.
Nervous System: Known as a nervine and mild sedative, vervain is a calming herb traditionally used to ease anxiety, stress, and insomnia. It supports the nervous system and uplifts the mood, especially during times of grief, heartbreak, or emotional fatigue.
Tea is made by steeping 1/2-1 teaspoon (5–10 grams) of the herb in 1 cup (250 ml) of hot water for ten to fifteen minutes.
