Botanical Name: Agrimonia eupatoria

Common Names: Church steeples, Cocklebur, Stickwort

Agrimony Herb, or Agrimonia eupatoria, also known as Church Steeples, Stickwort and Cocklebur is a hedge plant related to the Rose. It is native to England and has yellow petals with an egg shaped leaf. The entire Agrimony plant is harvested and everything except for the roots is used.

  • Magical Folk Uses: Protection; reveals and banishes negative energies; reversal; uncrossing. return to sender spells. 
  • Medicinal Folk Uses: Historically used to relieve wounds and snakebites; known to aid jaundice.  Agrimony herb is said to ease aid to digestive complaints, a diuretic and to improve respiratory conditions such as coughs, colds and bronchitis.


    • Tea is made by steeping 1/2-1 teaspoon (5–10 grams) of the herb in 1 cup (250 ml) of hot water for ten to fifteen minutes.

I'm glad it's organic, I've got sensitive skin and so I like to pour a little in my bath water. They also sent a lovely little oil sample to match.
