Magical Folk Uses: Used in spells for protection; protects from accidents and illnesses and for cleansing from jinxes which cause accidents.
Medicinal Folk Uses: Traditionally known for it's anti-aging properties; used to prevent conditions related to aging, including cancer, heart disease, and memory problems. Additionally, Fo-ti enhances the use of estrogen, human growth hormone, testosterone and cortisol increases vitality, muscle size and power. Known to reverse erectile disfunction, improves the quality and quantity of sperm count.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). According to Chinese tradition, dried Fo-ti Root should be prepared by boiling it in the same water used to cook black beans; its primary purpose is to restore balance to the body's systems when the Yin (feminine energy) is weak.
Typical Use as a Supplement 1 - 2 tsp (5g-10g) added to smoothies, nutritional shakes, add to teas, or mix with your favorite juice or water.
