Magical Folk Uses: Protection; exorcism; aids against poisons. Promotes mental and emotional openness; boost mental powers, focus concentration and increases psychic abilities.
Medicinal Folk Uses: Horehound is a bitter herb that has had medicinal uses dating back to ancient Kemet. It has been used to treat respiratory conditions such as asthma, coughs, colds, bronchitis, sore throats, pneumonia The plant has also been used as a diaphoretic, diuretic, expectorant, laxative, appetite stimulant, and as a remedy for motion sickness.
Tea is made by steeping 2–3 teaspoons (10–15 grams) of the herb in 1 cup (250 ml) of hot water for ten to fifteen minutes.
