Magical Folk Uses: Promotes love, creativity, beauty, fertility; empowers the divine feminine qualities within you. Lady's Mantle was first associated with the worship of the Earth Mother. Can be used as an offering to feminine earth deities.
Medicinal Folk Uses: Traditionally used to treat women's ailments such as menstrual cycle, soothe menstrual cramps and reduce heavy bleeding, alleviate menopausal symptoms. Lady's Mantle is used to aide in digestive and intestinal problems including liver and gallbladder conditions, intestinal pain, intestinal gas. Lady's Mantle is a powerful diuretic – a herb that increases the flow of urine, helping to cleanse the system of excess fluids and stimulating the kidneys.
Tea is made by steeping 2–3 teaspoons (10–15 grams) of the herb in 1 cup (250 ml) of hot water for ten to fifteen minutes.
