Botanical Name: Ursera graveolens
Palo Santo translates to "Holy Wood", it is a sacred aromatic tree native to Peru, Ecuador, and other South American countries. For thousands of years, the wood, resin, and oil have been used for it's healing properties. Palo santo is used to purify air, dispel evil spirits, and cleanse negative energy. Aside from it's metaphysical uses, palo santo can also be used to benefit physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The wood has also long been used therapeutically to soothe cold and flu symptoms, depression, emotional pain, and other ailments. It's similar to Frankincense, Myrrh, and Copal resin incense.
